Apartment Renovation: A Timeless Blend of Tradition and Modernity
In this Hyderabad renovation project, we transformed a 30-year-old, 1100 sq. ft. home for a retired couple. The goal was to provide modern comforts while honoring their traditional roots.
We designed a minimalist space, using a material palette inspired by local crafts. We incorporated refurbished teak wood, rattan cane, and wooden laminates to create a warm and inviting feel. Cane and bamboo furniture were carefully selected to add a touch of nature and a light, airy quality.
To maximize natural light, we replaced the old frosted glass in the iron windows with clear panes, making the home feel more open and connected to the outdoors. The result is a home that beautifully merges the couple’s cherished memories with the ease of modern living.
